Block #40 of Just Takes Two is called “Buckeye Beauty.” It was a doozey to put together because of the set-in seams but I’m happy with the end result.
Those set in side pieces went in better than I thought they would. Just have to go slow and deliberately to get the starting and stopping places in correct form. However, at this point I am ready for some mindless sewing so I may whip out a few more of the strip piecing sheets on used dryer sheets.

On a different note, I had to go to the Emergency Room because of nausea and vomiting relating to my Crohn’s disease. After the IV fluids, a shot for nausea and a shot for pain I am back on track to feeling better. Solid foods are out of the question until late Thursday or early Friday. By then I will be sick to death of Jell-O, broth, and iced tea.
Sew until next time,
You did a great job of your 'Buckeye Beauty' block, very nicely put together, worth the trouble and care!!!! Sorry to hear your Crohn's has been troubling you, hope you get on the mend soon, nothing worse than feeling 'yuck'!
ReplyDeleteNice work but it makes my head spin just thinking about sewing that together ~ wow!
