PRESENTING . . .
This is “Yankee Puzzle,” block 49 of Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Quilt block of the week. Fabric choices were easy, construction was easy, I loved making this block. Only three more blocks to go before it’s time to assemble them into a quilt top. I’m leaning toward an on-point setting at this time, but who knows what I will end up with.
One thing for sure, I will be glad when I can put of the two boxes of red, blue, gold, and background fabric that I’ve been drawing from to make these blocks. My sewing area needs to be decluttered big time! It looks like a slob works there. And she does, but I’m usually not quite so helter-skelter. One day there will be order,
so help me God!

I like you block, in fact I like this block. Only a few more to go, I will have to think about the sashing and border next year. Anxious to see how your red, blue and gold look together.
ReplyDeleteHi, Donna. Happened upon your blog while surfing the net. Great blocks and fabrics! I enjoyed the Trinity Valley Quilt Guild show--lovely work there.
ReplyDeletebest from Tunisia, nadia
Nice block Donna, I like the way you incorporated a couple of solids into this block! It's getting a bit exciting now as we get to the end of this great BOW journey!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still undecided about my layout etc!
