CIVIL WAR QUILT BLOCK 25
Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Quilt block for week #25 is called Calico Puzzle. After making one block and not liking my fabric selections because of too many larger scale motifs mixed together, I made a second more calm one and am now happy quilter.
I found that once the block was assembled using the measurements on Brackman’s instructions, I did have to trim 1/4” off of each side to make it the appropriate 8 1/2” unfinished size.

Donna I prefer your second one as well, although I do love the fabrics you used in both of them!!! I tend to try and keep in mind the scale as well, I don't want to many orphans LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteBlock 1 is nice, but block two is fabulous - the center just glows!
