WACO QUILT SHOW

Last weekend, Hubby and I went to Waco, Texas, home of  Baylor University, Texas Rangers Museum (the law enforcement agency, not the baseball club), and the Dr. Pepper Museum.  We didn’t stop to visit any of these sites, but we did attend the quilt show hosted by the Homespun Quilters’ Guild at the Waco Expo Complex.  Here are photos of just a few of our favorites.

On the way back home, we planned to stop in Hillsboro to visit some antique shops, but the closer we got to Hillsboro on Interstate 35, the more we wanted to just go home and watch the Texas Rangers baseball game on the television.  So that’s what we did.

I’ve started quilting the Keystone Medallion quilt on my trusty Janome 4800 QE, just a simple hanging diamond pattern but looking good.  I’ll post a photo when completed.  I need to work on my Civil War Quilt Block #15, the White House.  American Homestead posted a wonderful alternate way to make this block that prevents having to match up stripe prints.  I’m all for an easier way out!  So glad I waited to start it because I'm sure I would be cussing to myself as I tried to match those darn stripes.
