Acoma Pots and Quilt

My favorite place in the world to visit is New Mexico, especially Santa Fe and Taos. Over the years we travelled there, we accumulated a small collection of Acoma Pueblo pottery. Consequently, when I saw Michelle Watts' Treasures of the Southwest fabric in the Hancocks-Paducah online catalogue, I had to rush to by EQ5 and design a quilt to figure out how much fabric I needed to order. If you look at the pottery on the right, and the blocks and fabric placed on my design wall above, you see why I was inspired. I'm to the point of cutting alternate blocks and sashing strips. I'll keep you posted.

  1. Donna, I love the fabric...and I also love Santa Fe...Isn't Canyon Road just the best place to visit??? Love your fabric; can't wait to see it in a quilt.

  2. Thank you Jay. I will probably put in the quilt show if I get it quilted in time.
