Here Comes the Sun - and It's Alright

Summer is definitely here in Texas! We reached our first triple digit temperature earlier this week with no relief in sight.

Father's Day we spent with my husband's family around their pool. There were grilled hamburgers, homemade ice cream and peach cobbler, and the best salad I've had in a while -- Fried Okra Salad. Sounds icky but it's really very good. It's a southern thing. However, too much celebrating on Sunday made it hard to get motivated on Monday.
