A QUILTY GIFT FROM JULIE

Recently I won a giveaway from my blog friend Julie K,  A Quilt for Christmas by Sandra Dallas along with two pieces of beautiful fabric.  I'm a huge Sandra Dallas fan and who doesn't love getting more fabric!

gift from julie

Julie’s blog is always interesting.   You can read it at juliekquilts.   I don’t know her personally although we have been following each others’ blogs for years.   We are both members of the Trinity Valley Quilters’ Guild, and we once took a workshop with Kim Diehl and didn’t know that each other was there.  A huge missed opportunity to  meet.

Julie is a very productive quilter who loves to use her scraps no matter how big or small.  She is the strings princess just after the strings queen, Bonnie Hunter of course.  She also is a nurse at a local hospital.  If she’s had a particularly interesting or touching day at work, she will share them in her “Nurse’s Notes” below her quilting blog entries.  I love those as much as I do her quilt musings.

Thanks Julie for this wonderful gift!  I hope after the first of the year we will get a chance to finally meet in person.
