Taryn from Reproduction and Antique Quilt Lover is putting together a internet quilt show of doll or miniature quilts. This is my entry named Navajo Blanket.
I made this 9" X 11" quilt several years ago for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative to raise funds for Alzheimer’s disease research. It’s one of my husband’s favorites and he’s asked me more than once to make another. Alas, I haven’t done it. There are just too many other projects in my sewing room that need my attention. I hope to make it again someday.
Be sure to to visit Taryn’s blog to see other mini and doll quilts.
What a wonderful little quilt Donna! I can see why your husband would like one for himself. The cause you made it for is also wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI really like your little miniature.
ReplyDeleteI love this too....I have some Indian blanket magnets I got in Arizona I have thought would make lovely quilts...but didn't want to make big ones...this may just be the answer for me!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful AAQI quilt - I think you should make another!
ReplyDeleteYour little quilt is so striking! You will just have to do another one - if only we had more hours in the day...
ReplyDeleteI have 2 patterns from Jackie Robinson that have been on the back burner too long - both based on Anasazi designs...one is called Hovenweep and the other is Mesa Verde. Most of my quilting is very traditional but these two really caught my eye.
