In celebration of my –cringe-- 6th decade of life, Sweetie and I spent the weekend in Jefferson, Texas attending their annual quilt show. I’ve made a Smilebox slide show of some of my favorite quilts in the show.  It’s a small show, with limited space and lots of people, so taking great photos was not an option, but you can still appreciate the beauty of the quilting arts just the same.

In addition to the quilt show, we ate some wonderful food.  Cornbread ham and cheese sandwiches and soup at Kitt’s Cornbread Sandwich & Pie Bar.  Fried chicken strips at The Hamburger Place.  A BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) sandwich on fresh bakery-made wheat bread.  And the grand finale – my favorite – lasagna from Lamache’s Italian Restaurant.  Heaven!
More about the trip later.
