JANIE JANOME IS HOME

Before we left for our trip to south Texas, I decided it was a good time to take my Janome 4800 QC into the shop for it’s annual tune-up and cleaning, although I think it's been at least two years since the last one.  Heck, I wouldn’t miss using it if I wasn’t at home, right?  Arlington Sewing Machine did a fantastic job with a quick turn around.  I took it in on Thursday of last week and got it back Wednesday.  The holiday weekend did not seem to slow down the repair progress.  She is back home purrring like a kitten and ready for some action.

Sewing Machine Janome
Janie Janome purchased in 2003 when I began quilting

Now I can work on Brackman’s Civil War Block of the Week #22, Blockade and continue working on my red and white Crossroads quilt.  Yippee!

  3. Donna you have great taste in machines!!!! I have this model too and it is a wonderful workhorse, it is well overdue for a service by at least a couple of years but still is battles on LOL!!! I have quilted many quilts, large and small on this machine over the years and it always does a great job!!!
I do all my piecing on my 1958 Singer 99k but the Janome sits close by and does extra bits and pieces, so they work in tandem. I have a small collection of sewing machines, both vintage and new, but I do prefer my vintage girls for piecing as they sew a beautiful stitch. My newest one (2 yrs old), the Bernina sits all alone at the end of the room looking forlornly on as it's not generally invited to the party very often LOL!!!
