MOVIES AND BOOKS

What’s up with the Fort Worth area?  The newest JANE EYRE movie  is nowhere to be found!

Reviews of the movie are very good.  It is an independent film so I guess distribution will be slow.  Hopefully it will catch on by word of mouth and show up on local movie theaters soon.

Finished reading PRAYERS FOR SALE by Sandra Dallas last week.  I didn’t like it as much as the last one of hers I read, but it still is a entertaining book, especially if you are interested in Colorado gold mining history.

Now, for a change of pace, I am reading an Elvis Cole/Joe Pike series written by Robert Crais entitled CHASING DARKNESS.

I once briefly met Robert Crais at a mystery book convention in Dallas several years ago.  A former screenwriter, Crais wrote for several television series but, most notably for me, for QUINCY, M.E. back in the late 1970s through early 1980s.  He can sure write a thriller/mystery novel and has a great sense of humor.  He's definitely not a "chick" book writer.

Looking forward to the weekend.  It’s supposed to be in the low 80s both days.

  1. I just love all the Elvis Cole/Joe Pike books. Robert Crais has developed such great characters in this series.
