The Big Quilt is Done at Last!

Last Christmas, I gave my brother a quilt top as a gift with a note saying I would have to quilt it later.  He sent it back home with me, stashed away in a Christmas bag, and I totally forgot about it.  Well, while looking for something else in my sewing room, I found it.

Some 15+ hours later, I finished machine quilting with my sewing machine and binding it.  Ta Dah!!!   I swore I would never machine quilt anything bigger than a lap quilt on my sewing machine but lack of $$$$$ to have it long arm quilted forced me to struggle with this 80”X80” quilt in a simple hanging diamond pattern.

I know he will love it.  He is the most sentimental person in our family although you wouldn’t know it when I had to grow up with him for 14 years at my parents’ home..
