DIXIE TEA BLOCK, BEFORE AND AFTER

Block #47 of Barbara Brackman’s Civil War Quilt 2011, called Dixie Tea, threw me for a loop on color choices.  At first, I wanted to use a light blue with some red “tea leaf” motifs in the pattern.  This was the result.



Yucky!!!  What was I thinking?  So I decided to replace the two light blue squares with more of the red with star squares and this is what I got.



This looks more like a leaf to me.  So glad I made the switch.  I might drink some Dixie tea made out of this leaf!
