First of all, let me get the most important part out of the way: Texas Rangers celebrate second consecutive AL West crown after home win and some help. You can read more here if you are so inclined.
Now, just a few last words and photos about Denver.
We visited the Taste of Denver street festival one beautiful, balmy morning in downtown Denver.
where we had the caricature drawn by a young artist.
Do you think it looks anything like us?
We also visited the Museum of Nature and Science
Plaza outside of Museum of Nature and Science with dancing waters fountain |
and also saw a 3-D Imax film called “Born to Be Wild” featuring rescue programs for orphaned baby orangutans and elephants. Of course, I dodged the soccer ball that looked like was coming right at me and swatted at the gnats and bugs that were flying all around my head. Made me feel stupid but that’s the magic of 3-D.
There was interesting architecture all around
One of the capitol buildings - don't know if it's federal or state |
A modern house built right next door to a historic house |
Denver Art Museum building known as 'the ship' |
Unfortunately, this museum was closed so we didn't get to see the inside. |
More modern buildings and outdoor sculpture |
