It’s a lazy, rainy, cool day here in North Texas so I’m spending it inside reading my latest issue of Country Living magazine, reading blogs, doing genealogy research, sewing and the like.  Hope you all are keeping warm, dry and cozy in your neck of the woods.

Sniffles, Coughs and Laughs

 

I’ve been sick the last several days and haven’t felt like blogging or sewing but just had to share this funny cartoon with you.

It appeared in the blog for Pickledish, the home of Kansas City Star Quilts.  I didn’t think about panhandling for Houston Quilt Festival fabric funds.  Probably wouldn’t have worked.  Everyone else already spent their money with the vendors and had nothing left to give!

Quilting Truckers

On one of my Yahoo groups, someone mentioned an article in the Wall Street Journal entitled Idle Pastime: In Off Hours, Truckers Pick up Stitching. It’s an interesting article and I hope you read it. It puts “sewing space” into perspective. We all think we just don’t have enough room to do our projects----WRONG!

If a trucker can sew in his sleeper cab, we should be able to sew anywhere. Just not "strewing around" fabric and tools would help.
