You could always keep it "as is" and adjust the sashing strips around this one when you begin sewing the quilt together. Your applique' block is equally as lovely!Aunt 'Reenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08204447436613555757noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7252798831432550692.post-64259090876179141962011-07-27T09:38:33.234-05:002011-07-27T09:38:33.234-05:00Great blocks Donna, love your fabric choices and I...Great blocks Donna, love your fabric choices and I like the star shape you chose. Just a little hint, if your Railroad Crossing is just a tag too big, gently unstitch the corner triangles, then you can trim the block sides the 1/8th off each side, then resew the corner triangles on again. Once they are sewn back on, you can just do a quick trim of the corners!! When I made this block I did it that way. It should work for you!!! It will save you having to redo the whole thing again!!Merilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07017362688960778176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7252798831432550692.post-25167944293323901142011-07-24T18:39:51.605-05:002011-07-24T18:39:51.605-05:00Hi Donna , mine came out a little big too, i adde...Hi Donna , mine came out a little big too, i added larger corner triangles, taking the seam allowance at 5/8 and then trimmed back to the 8 1/2 inchesSheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06694207845080624507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7252798831432550692.post-62049040403520363172011-07-24T13:19:19.973-05:002011-07-24T13:19:19.973-05:00Congrats to Pat!
